As a follower of Jesus, do you ever feel overshadowed or insignificant in contrast to others who seem to serve God in great ways? Submerged in a self-seeking, gourmet culture we feel sandwiched between those who aspire to great Godly dreams and those who talk of God but live like “Cretans.” In a our new three week study “You Cretan! - A study of Titus”, Crossbridge pastors will help you take next steps with God through a seemingly insignificant letter to a young Christ follower named Titus .

Over the last five weeks we’ve been exploring what the next steps for Crossbridge Community Church look like as we step out in faith and risk to build The Hub, a place to do ministry 6 ½ other days of the week. We’ve explored in depth the lives of biblical legends who God stretched, and in doing so He changed the future of a nation, the destiny of entire race, the faith of an unlikely hero, and the world as we know it. Now, on Commitment Sunday, it’s our turn to go "All-In". It’s time to see what God will do thru us if we dare to dream of what could be; if we allow God to work beyond ourselves and realize our need to depend on God for a miracle; if we step out in risk and faith to trade up from our dreams to God’s bigger dreams for Crossbridge. This week we’re going to celebrate as we mark this moment in the life of Crossbridge with our commitments to God as part of the six.five Capital Campaign.
The Crossbridge Mission Leadership Team invites you to join us for a mission trip to Costa Rica. In June or July 2009 we will fly to San Jose to utilize our gifts to help transform the lives of children and families in the Los Guidos province of San Jose. We will make a difference by playing soccer, singing songs, feeding the hungry, meeting needs and sharing the good news of Jesus. On Sunday, December 7th, we will celebrate Child Dedication with families at Crossbridge. We are committed to building God-honoring families, and this includes raising children who have a personal awareness of and a relationship with Jesus Christ. We would like to give families the opportunity to go public with their committment to this important challenge. Child dedication should not be confused with infant baptism. It is a public affirmation by the parent(s) to do everything in their power to raise their children to follow Jesus Christ, and is a public affirmation by the church to support those parents in their efforts. Immediately following each morning service, there is a "Party at the Wall" with staff. This time is designed for anyone who hasn’t ever met the Pastors. So, if you are newer to C3 and would like to take a minute to stop by and say “hi” to a Pastor, see them at the Rock Wall any Sunday right after church.

C3 will provide a 13 week course of FPU at the Parkview YMCA beginning Sunday Jan 11 from 1-3pm. It will take place in Room D at the Y and childcare will be provided. The fee for this course is $105. There will be two free previews offered at the YMCA on Wednesday Dec 10 & Dec 17 from 6:30-7:30 to see if this is a course you want to sign up for.

Evaluations for the Upward Basketball/Cheerleading season for boys & girls grades Kindergarten through 6th grade have taken place. Practices begin the week of December 8th. An 8 week game schedule begins Saturday, January 10th. If you are still intereseted in registering, please contact Barb Mattax.
