If you're thinking of visiting Crossbridge on a Sunday, you're probably wondering what you should expect when you walk through the doors. Here's a little what you should expect:
-
- A friendly face at the door. Most likely they'll smile and say "hi", but they're also there to help you with any questions you might have so feel free to ask.
-
- Casual dress. Feel free to wear what's comfortable. People on stage will most likely be wearing jeans or casual pants and casual shirts, but you'll probably find the whole gamut of fashion statements in the crowd.
- A gym that doesn't look like a gym anymore. Adults meet together for our main service in the main gym of the Y, but a group of dedicated people get up early every Sunday to transform it into more of an auditorium.
- Good music. Most weeks there is a full band on stage that likes to play a variety of music. We use everything from Passion worship tunes to Lincoln Brewster to John Cougar Mellancamp to Lee Ann Womack. We've even been known to throw in some Beatles or Evanescence - whatever helps lead us to a place where God can speak to our hearts.
- A place for your kids. If you have kids or youth, there are great ministries led by passionate people for everyone from infant through high school going on at the same time that you're in the main service. Our computerized Bridge Kids registration is in the lobby just inside the front door and someone there would be happy to help you find the right places for your kids.
